全台灣各縣市夏天最高溫超過30度，雖有多個颱風生成但皆未侵台，而提供大台北地區民生用水的翡翠水庫，水位罕見地一路掉到151公尺左右，總蓄水量只剩一半，並跌破歷年水位平均值，又因疫情衝擊，民生用水量創6年新高，翡管局表示，水量還能再撐3個月。
台北翡翠水庫管理局副局長李延財表示，今年沒有颱風，很多水庫都須仰賴颱風進帳，酒店賺錢
據統計6月以來只下了474毫米，只有歷年同期平均雨量的51％，等於少了一半的降雨，大部分的雨下在市區，也是造成翡翠水庫水量出的多、進的少的主因之一。
